At least for a few days anyway. Going to Montana tomorrow morning to do some fishing, boating, etc., and to finally meet some of my wife's family after only six years of marriage.
I will make sure that everyone I meet in Montana will know about Ole Miss before I leave.
PEACE..........

Well, have a great time! I guess your theme song for the trip will be "Meet Me In Montana"!
On another note, I found out just how lucky I am after the storm. They said on the TV news tonight there were still about 230,000 customers in Memphis and Shelby County that were still without power!

You know, I'm still able to pull up the picture of LR & Friends. Maybe some of you need to upgrade your IE to 6.0!?
Anyway, have a great time out there in "Big Sky Country"! :D

Montana, 10? My only question would be why won't you stay there? Little crime, less humidity, beautiful country, like with hills and mountains, no PC crap.... Why would you return?

Believe me Wry, my wife has told me all about it and from the sound of it I'm not sure why she left Montana in the first place, but I'm glad she did.
You're right, no PC bs, very little population, and beautiful country, and they even used to not have speed limits.....my kinda place for the way I drive apparently. But they have since implemented them. :frown:
But, not even having seen it and just hearing about it, I'd probably move there in a heartbeat. I'll let you know if I feel any differently when we return......I should say, IF we return. We might just decide to stay

I couldn't live that far from Oxford. I simply can't put myself into a situation where I can only make one or two football, basketball, or baseball games a year. I was spoiled by living in Tupelo, I'm still spoiled living in Jackson, and I will be even more spoiled if my move to Memphis happens.

Good Answer Still!!! I was thinking something like that myself, but of course you could always root for Montana or Montana State!

hard to argue with that, Reb. But through these modern miracles of internet and television, a person can follow Ole Miss and commune with Ole Miss people no matter where he is. Just the same, point well taken: It still isn't really real unless its in Oxford

Excellent point Wry! All the modern technology in the world can't take the place of actually being there!
I'm really fortunate to live so close to campus. A leisurely hour and a half drive at most.

I have an Uncle that lives about 50 miles from Missoula (sp), he raises horses, and hunts...fantasticly beautiful country and if we didn't know what we would be missing in real life, we would probably make the move easily.

Funny you mention that. My wife's family that we stayed with in Bozeman are all Montana State Bobcat fans, which Mont St is in Bozeman. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law both went to Mont St. I am a Montana Griz fan, which is in Missoula, since my wife is a fan of their's and I have seen them play for the Div I-AA Nat'l Champ twice in Chattanooga. They lost one and won the other. Anyway, there was a little friendly rivalry between me and her family when I got there. The room that my sister-in-law had us set up to stay in(one of her son's rooms), they had it all decorated in Mont St colors and banners. I told them that I couldn't sleep in that room because it was too hideous. All in fun, plus they took me to the Mont St football stadium to get some pics, and it's actually pretty cool. (will show you the pics tomorrow when developed).
Anyway LR, gotta story for you on that "population" up there.... :D

I think Montana and North Dakota or maybe Wyoming are the states with the least populations of the 50. They make up for it with beautiful scenery.

Very true, Still, but the population theory is a bit misleading in Montana's case. All that vast land they have and most of it mountainous, is predominantly owned by the extremely sickly wealthy, like Ted Turner and David Letterman. So, all of that "low" population mainly are all thrown into the main cities like Butte, Bozeman, Billings, Missoula, Cut Bank, Great Falls, Helena, etc. And most of the state is uninhabited, thus giving the misleading populous count. There is still a very little population in comparison to the acreage of Montana, but they are all jumbled up in the towns.
I was expecting a lot less traffic in Bozeman than what I saw. It wasn't bad traffic by any means, but still more than I had pictured seeing....mainly for that reason above. My brother-in-law explained alot of stuff to me. I would still move there in a heartbeat, but the property value, at least in Bozeman, is through the roof...for good reason. It's gorgeous.
I have some pics developed now, if anyone would like to see them.
