He also chose not to put Ball on the Church of England's "Lambeth List", which names clergymen about whom questions of suitability for ministry have been raised.

Ball was given funds authorised by Lord Carey to support him.

Lord Carey also wrote to Ball's identical twin brother, Michael Ball - another bishop - in 1993 saying: "I believed him to be basically innocent".

The NT specifically warns against forbidding men to marry. But we live in a day were the doctrines of men dominate over the doctrine of the bible.

Anglican Priests Bishops are allowed to be married. Pedos and those that want to rape or sexually assault teens take jobs that give them access to these kids. It happens in the Protestant denominations in the USA as much as Catholic churches.

Homosexuals and pedo's aren't looking for wifes. They're looking for males.
Warning against forbidding men to marry doesn't apply. The warnings against homosexuality and other abominations do.

The cover up is worse, IMO. Perverts are going to be attracted to jobs that maximize 1-on-1 opportunities with kids, be it ministry, teaching, coaching, or volunteering with the scouts, YMCA, or Boys and Girls Clubs. You can run backrounds, but unless they've been busted, nothing is going to show up.

Anglican clergy are allowed to marry - in fact, I'm betting that the vast majority are married - no different than Baptists, Methodists, etc.

This is a case of a pedo that "took a job" that put him around kids (with a fair amount of "trust") and the parents weren't likely to suspect him of doing stuff to their kids.

The Archbishop obviously made a huge error in judgement by not having this guy investigated just like other pedos are - by the police.

Pedos can occupy any job, it's just worse when it happens to be clergy as they know what they are doing is sinful and they have more of a duty than the average Joe.
