Keep 'em dumb, keep 'em poor and keep 'em on the democrat plantation.
And the GOP wants to keep em in jail. Blacks are being taken out by both sides.
If blacks are in jail it's not the GOP's fault. The GOP isn't making them commit crimes.
If you believe that then I won't even bother. You're in too deep.

In too deep!
I've done a few criminal investigations between the arson team and serving as a reserve LEO and I have yet to see or hear of a case where the GOP forced anyone to commit a crime.
Nobody forces them to use or sell drugs
Nobody forces them to steal other people's **** to buy drugs
Nobody forces them to kill each other in the street.
My best friend and the godfather to my oldest son is a black man who grew up in one of the toughest projects in Columbia, yet he never had any run ins with the law because his Dad is an AME minister and his Mama, rest her soul, would have whipped his ass for screwing up up until cancer made her too weak to do it. He's told me time and time again about the number of kids he grew up with and went to school with who are either dead or in jail and out of all of reasons, almost all of them self-inflicted, he's never once blamed Republicans.

This is easy to fix.
You just lower the standard.
America has been doing it for 40 years. Why stop now?

And those would be the counties with strong, well established private schools. Florence County is one of the red counties and they have 15 private schools alone.
Colleton County also voted Republican, but it's primarily because of the retired residents in Edisto Beach, with 45% of it's population being 65 or older.
So are you saying that private schools in those counties have all the good students, leaving the bad students in the public schools?

Parents who have the means to move their kids out of failing public schools to far better private schools have done so in droves.

If all the great students were moved to public schools, and all the terrible students were moved to private schools, I don't think the private schools would look so great.

Well no ****. They wouldn't be private if they did that. The difference is that private school provides a choice. In public school you don't have a choice of where you go or what kind of classmates (and their parents) you have.

Yep. Not my fault if somebody else can't. I can afford it if I need to and I've voted for politicians who are pro-charter and pro-voucher. I'm primarily interested in my children. That said, we're located in a very good public school district (for now).

Charters are public schools. Vouchers turn private schools into public schools.
If any of the private schools Kaplony was talking about has even a single student receiving public tuition-assistance, then that school's performance should rightly be counted as a public school.

Most of these private schools were created BECAUSE of the failing public school systems.

Their performance doesn't prove that private schools are better, it only shows that the best students are in the private school.

Does somebody need to spell this out for you? The best public schools are MOSTLY located where the demographics are mostly white, college educated, upper middle class families. In other words the make up of the public school student body / parents looks a lot like what the typical private school looks like.
The best public schools have almost nothing to do with the teachers themselves. It's based on the parents and their expectations for their children.

RE: Thanks, Liberal Education System!
Doesn't that prove my point, that performance of the school has nothing to do with the school itself?
If that's true, how can you claim a public school is failing if it only had bad students? That makes no sense.
