253,000 Private Sector Jobs Created in May
"The private sector added 253,000 jobs last month, far outpacing Wall Street expectations for a gain of 185,000 jobs. Business services, which includes technical services, management and administrative and support services positions, saw its strongest monthly increase since 2014, adding 88,000 jobs for the month, boosting the overall service-providing sector to 205,000 net new jobs.
“Job growth is rip-roaring,” Mark Zandi, chief economist of Moody’s Analytics, said in a statement. “The current pace of job growth is nearly three times the rate necessary to absorb growth in the labor force. Increasingly, businesses’ number one challenge will be a shortage of labor.”

Good news if so. It's not the official BLS numbers however.
Thankfully trump hasn't totally damaged the positive path that Obama and congress has set us on for the past several years.

You mean those sub-30 hour part-time jobs and the rapidly declining labor participation rate? Yeah - real great path we were set on.
These are REAL jobs, not Obama "jobs" meant to pad the stats but help no one.

If that’s correct, wages should start to rise faster as the economic recovery from the Great Recession hits its eighth anniversary this month.
About as 2/3 as long as it took to get us out the Great Depression - if one chooses to believe we have recovered. If only this one could have lasted another 4 years we could have set a new record.

The spin is strong in this one.

Generally, presidents get too much credit and blame for the economy. However, what did Obama actually do to stimulate job growth? For much of his 8 years, the recovery was tempered greatly due to drops in labor participation. How much of that was due to retirements, I'm not sure. The participation rate did stabilize for the past 2 to 3 years. Same critiques made against Reagan about "McJobs" in the 80s could have easily been made for Obama; however, the media failed to do so. Objectively, the comparisons where there to be made.

And 5 years longer than Texas took to get out of its much worse 1986 recession. Everything was back to normal by 1989.
