Remember you heard it here first.

No problem with it at all. They close down every Friday at 3:20 anyway, how do we ever survive the weekends.

Non-essentials "workers" (read largest federal jobs program going) will stay home and still collect their checks, someone let me know when someone's missing any of them. 07-coffee3

That's all well and good until Border Patrol stops getting their checks.

If the House and Senate do their jobs and send budget bills to the president, there is no reason for a shutdown. These shutdowns are because they aren't doing the job they are paid to do.

The last thing Trump wants to do giving his current situation is to allow the government to be shut down.

It would rally his base....and what else does he have going for him right now?

I'm not sure I want a shutdown.

I mean, jeeze, my social media stream would be filled with pictures of kids who couldn't get into the National Zoo and how that 8th grade class from Nebraska drove all the way to DC to visit the museums but they where closed!

If this happens, I will have to make a strongly worded selfie-video.

But this is exactly what has been Trump's downfall.

Trump ran a brilliant election and deserves all the credit in the world for pulling off a win.

The problem however is that most presidents pivot to the center and get stuff done. Trump has done none of that.

All he has done is grand stand and rally his base.

When it is all said and done, what people will say about Trump is that he never stopped campaigning.

It's going to be his worst mistake.

Democrats are never going to cooperate with a move to the center. They are in full "stab you in the face" mode.

Republicans are going to leak and subterfuge until they can openly stab in the back.

He might as well do what he promised...be a gigantic monkey wrench in the cogs until they grind him up.

The ultimate outcome seems pre-ordained anyway.

When you're told to be angry -- for no apparently good reason -- you obey, and become angry.
When you're told to cheer -- for no apparently good reason -- you obey, and become delighted.

You are very much encouraged not to question anything, especially if what you're doing is good for the country or not. Just obey.

I guess you can call this the "anti-millennial" movement?

You are wrong.

Here's why.

The Dow's rising, illegal immigration is down dramatically, GDP growth is projected at 4%, tens of thousands of jobs have been added, regulations have been cut, a conservative has taken a SCOTUS seat, the military is being restored and the national mood of real, sane Americans has been elevated.

Additionally, liberals are crazy, and they’re acting stupid, and we totally need to encourage them to keep doing crazy, stupid things.

Arbitrary list of things that don't prove that more Americans are in a better place now than one year ago.

So what would prove that more Americans are in a better place now than one year ago? Just curious......

The ideal thing to do would be to study many (tens of thousands) of Americans, all across as many racial-socio-economic spectrums as exist in country, and understand their current situation vs their previous situation, and how they've changed or stayed the same.

That would be at least a partially legitimate answer.

So exactly what Democrats didn't do and as a result lost the most slam dunk Presidential election in modern American history.

The left fully embrace the fallacy that unremitting coarseness, vulgarity and violence makes their argument unassailable.

I'm sure both they and Repubs constantly do some variation of this work.

HRC lost the election because of Comey's 11th-hour re-investigation.

I didn't sow any of that. None of that has anything to do with me.

Come on now. 20% of the people in this country are batshit crazy for one side or the other.

20% of liberals are violent batshit crazy and 20% of Trump supporters are batshit crazy.

You can't pin that on all of their supporters on either side.

Of course not. Your Urban Liberal Privilege allows you to support leftist terrorism and fake claims of racism without any repercussions.

No repercussions, except the loss of Congress, the Presidency, numerous State Houses, governerships, city councils, schools boards, and probably even dog catchers.

Hope you work hard to eliminate the violent eliminist rhetoric from the liberal platform. It would be fighting the good fight and you have my support.

Good luck. But watch your back because the left has been known to violently eat their own when someone leaves their Social Justice Warrior rank.
