Marc Gasol= Mr. Unreliable
Yeah he hit a winning shot but the dude was mostly a no show when it mattered most in this series. This is becoming a theme for him in the playoffs. 16 offensive rebounds by the Spurs. That's on Marc. I used to like him because unlike his brother he had an edge. He didn't drive to the hole expecting a foul. He went hard. But now he throws up weak attempts for missed layups and cries all the way down the court for fouls and misses a defensive assignment. He has turned into Pau.

He was passive the last two games, wouldn't battle for rebounds. But at times it was 8 on 5.

Gasol played a ton of minutes. Looked extremely tired late in games.
Not sure why Fizdale didn't play B Wright.
Only got 5 minutes on G1 and 7 minsutes in G2. Never saw the court after that.

Marc Gasol has played in 15 playoff elimination games throughout his career.
In those games, with our season on the line, he has averaged 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists - shooting 46% from the floor.

Good numbers Hometown. Marc wasn't terrible vs. Spurs, just wasn't as good as we needed him to be.
It's his passivity that bugs people. Last night, no FG attempts in the 4th quarter of an elimination game. Needs to aggressively drive to the basket, shoot or get fouled. Not look for the perfect pass.

I'm with ya. It's always bothered me. Felt the same way about his brother when he was here. But those stats are solid.

Marc is not the kind of star that is going to take 25 shots every game. We didn't lose because Marc was passive; we lost because our stars had little help, Tony was hurt and Kawhi was awesome. It's tough to win when against a team like the Spurs with rookies(not particularly good ones, either) playing significant roles. There's plenty of blame to go around.

Come on - we are better than OKC. Let's not take our cues or model our behavior after them.
