According to verbal commits, a few guys we offered have signed with other teams. Zhaire Smith, had offers from the swine, Texas, and others and signed with Texas Tech. I'm sure he is one we would have loved to have. Hard to know if the others were guys we really wanted or players lower on our list we backed off on (hopefully the latter). Hope we can still pull a rabbit out of the hat in the next 3 weeks. Seems like we are likely to get better players, if we sign them early, but we could always get lucky in the late signing period.

According to Verbal Commits we lost Raynere Thornton to Memphis today. He had offers from a bunch of schools including SC and Georgia. Sure he is one we wanted, but we aren't going to beat out those schools head to head. I doubt we get Camron Reedus if he didn't sign with us early. Memphis, or another school who had several unexpected transfers, would have "stolen" him in the Spring.
