Anything less than a bride and groom in full wedding regalia leading the team charge onto the field would be a disappointment to me.

We contacted alumni relations when we had ours on the field. They didn't want it to disrupt gameday activities, and they were at Soldier Field, that's why they let us do it.

All this is funny, but I can put it to rest. It's not the wedding unfortunately, it's going to be the night before their wedding and a lot of people invited to their wedding are NIU football fans. So instead of a true rehearsal dinner. Why not go to the game instead

I wonder if the common area of the skybox facility, if/when built, could be used for weddings/private events? Looked like a large open area, I'd guess yes?

What's more romantic than the bridal party getting ready in the J. Lynch Suite?

Kinnick in Iowa city does this all the time. They actually have quite a bit of weddings there.

With attendance being what it is at football games, if a wedding was held during a game you could invite as many guests as you want.

RE: Wedding Bells at Huskie Stadium?
My friends had one of the the first on-field weddings at TCF Bank Stadium, where the Gophers play. It was pretty fun but we could only hang out in the corner of the endzone, no treading on the field except for the wedding party photos. The reception was in the skyboxes. All in all really cool.

Yes, but those events are typically cousins marrying each other.....

This sounds like an awful idea.

Depends on what you mean by "getting ready"

Well it's not your wedding, so your opinion isn't vital to whether or not it proceeds
