Is there anyone's "number" he didn't have in the MAC? I don't buy the notion that he had Hawk's number. Akron had good teams under him. Pretty much it.

He played at Akron in mid-'90s.

That'd be a good hire. He's someone I'd hope we brought back if Hawkins left for some reason or another.

Mann to Mizzou

I mean he did pretty well at Ohio but the way things worked out at Illinois is a head scratcher. Maybe he's a great mid major coach. Time will tell.

RE: Akron's Dambrot to Duquesne...
Why the hell would Dambrot take the job at Duquense? He's been (arguably) the most successful coach in the MAC over the last 5-7 years and Duquesne is a place where coaching careers to go die. Duquesne must have really opened the vault for him (and Dambrot must have really needed the money) because this is a curious move.

RE: Akron's Dambrot to Duquesne...
As a A-10 fan and season ticket holder, the A-10 may be a multi-bid league, but there are two caveats here: one is that Duquesne rarely comes within sniffing distance of those bids. Secondly, the A-10 has gone from a league that gets four, five or even six (2014) bids a year to three, and trending downward. The A-10 could have two bids moving forward, considering how the NCAA has an obvious preference for power 5 teams for at-large bids.
