I guess that answers for the Tulane transfer/commit ... No sure how he (AW) would have fit in with this team, ... but do think somebody is still going to get a pretty good player.

Before these games are played this weekend and folks start freaking out, the teams we are playing are pretty good. That said, lets see what happens.

That's a plus in my eyes. We know what we have in Walker and he's been banged up a couple times in his first two years. The last thing we need is him getting hurt in an exhibition game.

Let it begin!
Great way to start. McGill is the toughest test in these games. Let's hope we can play them a competitive game. They have played a lot of top 25 caliber teams over the last few summers and have won some, and are usually right there at the end.

Is a box score available? BTW, I thought that Avery was the most improved player on our team last year as he solved most of our point issues. He may be the team leader this year.

Duling scored 19 points in 19 min. before fouling out. Will need to tighten that up (move your feet!), but he's got the potential to be special. Bad defense in the 4th qtr. allowed them to get back in it, but some of that can be attributed to travel yesterday, FIBA rules for the first time, and being the first game on the trip. If KSU doesn't have a box score at some point, the opponents website has one posted from their 1st two games in Costa Rica, so I would expect they would post this game as well.

Any idea if they were using Duling primarily at the 3 or the 4?

Kent State has a bunch of Alonzo Walker promos up - I guess those will need to be updated?

RE: 2017/18 mens basketball
I read somewhere the other day that 40% of DI men's basketball players now leave their original school before their third season. No matter how much a coach tries to build a team for now and for the future, each season is now essentially ad hoc.

I posted a link to the box on the Http://wbbflashes.com blog. (Only place I had to put it.) I asked the SID to post it and future ones.

Desmond Ridenour led the way for the Flashes, scoring 20 points on 8-for-16 shooting. He attacked the basket consistently, going 6-for-10 inside the arc. Danny Pippen had a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds. He shot 9-for-14 from the floor. Taishaun Johnson filled up the box score with a team-best five assists, seven points six rebounds and three steals.
