UNCW had a chance to really put the game away early on. Allowing that UVA 19-3 run just gave all the momentum back. That's where the game changed.

Can't blame the refs for that one. They choked at the end. Weren't playing good defense and the ball movement wasn't nearly as good...almost looked like they were running out of gas. They had the talent, I just think mentally they weren't strong enough to stick with a team like UVA on the big stage. Same thing happened last year.

Noticed that too. Cacok was gashing them and doing great on defense...then Keatts pulled him? Weird move. By the time he got back in the momentum was already fully on UVA's side. I think he pulled 2 of their only 3 scorers of the first half toward the beginning of that run.

Yep for sure. That stretch and those decisions made that game what it was. Perrantes also caught his rhythm in 2nd half

The silver lining for me (and I bet I'm not alone) is that I do have them in the Sweet 16 in my bracket. :>)

VCU looks like they're out of it. Pretty hard to win in the tournament these days when you can't hit a 3. Officials are calling it stupid tight right now. VCU can't even look at a MSM player without being called for a foul.

Saint Mary's from the WCC, not MSM from the NEC. The other one just lost to Villanova.

Saint Mary's lead in every major statistical category. They were just an all around better team.

I think Dayton is going to lose too and we'll be saying "did they really have to let 3 A10 teams into the field?"

I am at 13 of 16. My daughter, the JMU grad (and apparently the one with the brains in the family), hit 15. Her only loss was VCU.

Evening games got me. Had FGCU on the upset of FSU and also had VCU as well. Was crushing it up until that point!

15 out of 16 1st round, went w/ chalk for Minnesota as my sole loss.

14/16. Lost UNCW and VT. Both I had out in the R32 anyway though, so no biggie. I will probably lose 6 Sweet Sixteen teams today though.
