I feel good about Louisville E8 chances IF the Cards can get past Michigan. They are a hot team right now.

From the ACC:
Quote:The ACC is the winningest conference in NCAA Tournament history with a .662 winning percentage and is the only conference in nation that has not had a losing record in NCAA Tournament play since 1987. League teams set an all-time record last season with 19 NCAA Tournament wins, and the ACC’s combined 36 wins in the 2015 and 2016 tournaments are eight more than the next-closest conference (and two more than any two conferences combined).

Yet the B1G lead selection committee decided to leave an ACC team with a 10-8 league record out of the tourney.

Not that it is a guarantee...many times when middling or bubble teams get hot and win their conference tourneys they don't keep the magic in the NCAAs and flameout the first weekend. Louisville will beat Michigan if they meet IMHO.

I'm disappointed, but not surprised or in any way angry. I thought that Syracuse needed to beat Miami to earn a bid and they didn't.

Agreed. It is what it is.

RE: Big Dance
My Hokies have a tough draw as the 9 seed in the East - we'll face 8 seed Wisconsin, and if we get by them we'll match up with Villanova.

Wisconsin will be tough, but I think we have the 3-point shooting to beat them. They'll slow the game down, so getting good shots will be paramount in this matchup. We'll also need to keep Hayes and Happ from pulling down too many offensive rebounds, as this VT is undersized. But if we get hot from deep, watch out.

HB2 just overturned the radical Charlotte ordinance which forced private businesses to allow males with mental illness to use female restrooms. the city of Charlotte never had any legal ground to pass an ordinance like that which doesn't interest lawless liberals like you. i suspect if Greenville passed a law banning abortions, all of a sudden you guys would have an interest in the rule of law.

i'm not going to be going to any of the games in Greenville so what is it that I need to be thankful for. the NCAA isn't cutting checks to residents of Greenville as far as I know. lol

why don't you and other left wingers on here take your politics over to the Daily Kos website. this is a sports forum. it is far left people like that are driving people away from ESPN and sports in general b/c we don't want to listen to you soapbox. you have to politicize everything.

i'm not it sure it is even true these first round games are in Greenville b/c of the HB2 law. if my memory serves, tournament games have been played in Greenville before.

Not the place for partisan rants

Me too...I think we caught a break last year. Just pointing out that politics plays a part in the selection.

BTW, is there a team out there that has more high profile snubs/debates than Cuse?

8/9 is the worst seed in the tourney...guaranteed to meet #1.

Much rather be a 10 or 11 seed...or 6 or 7...
