Before the season I didn't expect much. The middle of the season there was some hope. Then we crashed. All in all the record is about what I expected. I didn't expect the worse loss in my lifetime.

There's still recruiting chips to fall this year. Late season, transfers, grad transfers, jucos. One thing most agree - regardless of what the staff did last late season, they have been recruiting hard the past couple of months. If we don't get more pieces, it won't be because of lack of effort. In fact, if we don't add more pieces, I'm worried about what that says about our program overall.

Welcome to my world

lol

How we gonna get anyone to wear the Memphis jersey now?
We aren't supposed to pay for play. Tubby is not that kind of guy, and all money is going towards FB.

I'm assuming we are still trying to make ourselves presentable for the next shakedown
...i mean shakeup, in realignment.

Just asking.

Face it, if it weren't for that inexplicable attitude change late in the season, we'd be mildly disappointed at missing the dance but making the NIT -- and we'd have a lot more hope for next year. Why that complete collapse occurred, to me, is key to what expectations ought to be for next year. I just hope we don't start another season still in the dark about whether we should expect a repeat of it or not.

RE: Were Your Expectations Met This Season?
About 3/4 of the way into the season I was pleasantly surprised, but I also was a little concerned that it was smoke and mirrors due to the really weak schedule. I don't know that my expectations were through the roof or anything but I was disappointed with how we finished the season. More concerning was that Tubby were his fan expectation comment. He lost me right there because he obviously doesn't understand this job or city.

I still believe that Tubby is NOT a good fit for this job and I do not believe he will ever make an NCAA tourney at Memphis. I hope I am proven wrong, but I truly believe that this will get really ugly over the next couple of years.
