We play TCU three times every year. The third game rotates every year. This year, UTA hosts TCU twice. Next year it will be once.
I didn't realize they always played TCU three times, that's pretty cool. I went to the games there against UT, A&M, and OU along with last nights game. I remember the extra inning win over UT and only lost by one run to both A&M and OU, I guess they're only 2-2 in games I've been to there, but really close games against top teams the losing years, so its seemed like they've played really well there.

ULM lost to Jackson State from the SWAC...
Good grief... I wish ULM would fire Peddie. He's nowhere close to being a good D1 baseball coach. He couldn't even win with New Orleans after they dropped down to Division II, and they basically had D1 players still on the team.

AState led 1-0 against Southern Illinois, then we suddenly realized its a midweek game, and promptly lost 4-2.
We just don't have the pitching to compete with any D1 team in the midweek. Responsible for 4 of our 7 losses to this point. 9-3 on weekends.

so far, happy with the Apps results, 8-9 record isn't good, but when you watch the team, the fundimentals seem much better than the last 2 or 3 years. other than a couple of players the fielding has been much better, starting pitching has been very good, but man, there is really no "pop" in the bats, really struggling with the long ball.

9-run win over Rice looks good for us, until you see they're 6-13 on the season and were playing their 6th game this week...
Still. I'll take it considering they've really had the upper hand against us the past few seasons. Big series with Coastal this weekend.

It is odd to be able to say a win against Rice hurts your RPI.
