Played with Bob Stone's nephew in Jr. College.
I heard he shoots 55% from 3 while also being a beast in the paint.

RE: Next year's team...
I only caught a few of games this season via a stream, but I'm glad this season is behind us. It's only been one season, true, but I was expecting the easy transition to make it easier to clean up some of the lingering issues.
Either way, I honestly just want to see tempo. If we secure that big guy, cool, but I feel like pushing the pace plays way more to our strengths than those tepid half court sets.

RE: Next year's team...
To paraphrase the coach in "Bull Durham", basketball is a simple game - "You dribble the ball, you pass the ball and you shoot the ball at a basket". If your team does these three things better than its opponent in that game, you are most likely to win. Player size is only critical if it affects your ability to do those three simple things well and at your own pace.

Especially if the team can't make the outside shot, drive the ball, or create their own shot (ie play half-court basketball)...

Gueye has a big man a class behind him that looks pretty good too. 6'11" Assane Ndiaye is getting lots of looks and a few offers, including UTEP, St. Bonaventure & Rutgers so far

While you're talking to coach, tell him we need the combo of big and mean. Maybe practicing against a big bastard will toughen up some of the softies we've got now.

RE: Next year's team...
I, personally, love it when people who are not professionals in my field come in and tell me how to do my job.
It's the best!
