RE: Cronin's future
I have often been a vocal critic of Mick's offensive coaching. His substitutions also drive me nuts at times. That said, the offense has been pretty effective for the most part this season. I don't expect to get past UCLA, but if we can at least win our first round game I will consider this season a step in the right direction. But we desperately need to play faster. If that doesn't happen next season with Broome and Jenifer running the point, my patience may run out.

I don't understand this: last week everybody on here said we were gonna go on a big run in the tourney and now the majority see the fraud UCLA name ahead of us and the majority are now backpedaling faster than the republicans about Trumpcare. Screw that, UC is gonna win the 1st game and whip the fraud that is Bill Walton Univ.

On that note, we have a chance to not just beat UCLA, but completely embaress them. LaVar Ball said today that he would've beaten Jordan 1v1 in his prime. Before that he was saying that Lonzo is already better than Steph. Doesn't anyone else get excited thinking we have a chance to shut him up?

RE: Cronin's future
Thought I'd take the temperature of some UCLA boards.
Yeah, they're not afraid. Not only are they already looking ahead to Kentucky, most of them think they'll be paying Wake or K-State.
For our part, we shouldn't look past Wake/Kstate. Won't be a gimme. But get past that, and oh man I'd love to beat UCLA. The Balls are easy to root against, and the Bruins need some payback for their BS victory over SMU (the goaltend that wasn't), and the Stokes game. Ball and Leaf are nursing injuries, and Alford has been cold lately.

Quite a few are surprisingly looking ahead to UNC since they already won at Rupp and figure they should have no problems at a neutral site.

What do you mean by fraud UCLA? I see a team that starts 2 lottery picks and won road games at Arizona and Kentucky. I'm not saying we have no chance, but they look like the best team we have played all year.

Uckla is no fraud. They're a solid team but so are the other 3 seeds. I would wager that if UC played them 10 times on a neutral floor, we win 3 maybe 4 times tops. But, with the one and done format it comes down to who gets hot at the right time. Maybe we shoot lights out and play clamp down dee and they struggle. BUUUT...Uckla better not look past Kent State either. You actually have to win before you advance. Anything is possible.

Take out Iowa St. and SMU and everybody will be better than people we have played. I thought Evans was gonna be a NBA draft pick someday and I like our hybrid D against them. There is a real nice article in Sporting News that talks about picking a bracket using Kenpom adjD. The 1st team they tell you to stay away from is UCLA because while they can score they cannot stop anybody and sooner or later they will face a team that can get enough stops to beat them, that team will be UC.
