Thought winning at Minnesota was "impossible"?
Pitino about to win more games in a season than Tubby ever did AND have a higher B10 finish.

Another "theory" shattered.

How many years did it take him to do that? They were pretty crappy for a while till he started getting players in the program

Exactly, he didn't get it done in his first year. Good point!

Not really. I know people have said it's hard to win at Minnesota and used that as a reason to back Tubby Smith. Still a good point though. It took Pitino a while but he got it going in the right direction

Good recruiters are salesmen, i.e., liars, what would it take to recruit Minnesota? Pretty scary if you ask me. On campus cathouse? Slush fund for the players?

Big 10 sucks this year. Iowa, a team Memphis beat earlier this year, handling Maryland pretty easily at Maryland. So unless Iowa is really good ( which has to be impossible since Tubby's team beat them) or the Big 10 sucks. Which is it Tubby haters?

Why else are we posting about Minnesota? A school that has underground tunnels between buildings, because of the snow. How far removed can you get from Memphis? Of course with the warm winters now, what are they using the tunnels for? Maybe that's where the basketball team's cathouse is?

No.

Main point was that maybe winning at MN wasn't such the miracle that some tried to imply.

If you provide enough incentives, you can win at the university of Saskatchewan.

I follow Iowa very closely. This team has improved as the season has gone on under McCaffery; just beat Indiana Wednesday. We have regressed since the Iowa game-strangely enough Tubby let the guys run every possession against Iowa and we scored close to a 100. Just read where Iowa was 16-24 from 3 pt range close to end of game-it's very hard to lose doing that. The Big Ten is down-may not get a Top 4 seed which is unheard of for a P5 conference excluding SEC when KY is down.
