As was explained in the other thread. The trend of the national debt is not decreasing. There are daily fluctuations for numerous expected things.

To illustrate this, if we look at 04/12/2016 through 05/11/2016, Obama lowered the debt from $19,234,006,195,713.79 to $19,193,401,105,901.94, or $40,605,089,811.80.

That $40.605 billion!

Again, the debt is not going down. We currently spend more than we take in. That's our budget DEFICIT and that is not decreasing currently. Until that turns into an overall budget SURPLUS, which we haven't had since Bill Clinton, the national debt is never going to start decreasing because we don't have any money to pay it down.
