I see Ge'lawn Guyn was a real bit player here but a star a lower level ETSU (18.5 PPG). I here Quad a bit player here could transfer to a lower level and be a star as a senior.
Cane was a star at lower level Sacred Heart but won't be a bit player but a star?
Perhaps some of you who have seen him in practice know the reverse logic is not applicable. I sure as hell hope he is the next coming of Nick The Quick.
Even at the lower levels Cane Broome did significantly more as a soph than Guyn did as a 5th year player. As well we get Broome for year 4 and 5 of his college career. As well, note every player who leaves here to a lower level becomes a star. (Jermaine Lawerence)
Reports been since summer nobody at practice can stop broome. Mick even went as far as calling him smartest guard he's ever coached. Flint, satterfield, logan, dean, garcia, vaughn, sk, cash, troy, Evans, and kj are all legit guards Mick has coached, cane P4P has skills to be best of bunch. Broome would also be 23-24 old playing against 18-20 kids, he should dominate.
Call me crazy but every other year we have a player who can't be stopped in practice and it rarely goes well.
That certainly has been the case on many occasions. However, I remember Mick talking about how naturally SK scored in practice his redshirt year and that was evident early. I remember talk last season of how difficult Washington was to guard and how well he could score the basketball from the Center position... this one seems pretty accurate. So the talk of how well these guys do in practice isn't always wrong.
And 1 sweet 16.

great story, DAN. I am excited to see Broome next year. I watched some youtube videos of a few of his games and I told my friends that he appears to be another Nicky Van Exel. He'll make next year's team possibly even better than this years. Should be fun to watch the next couple of years.

It's nice though when you hear a player of Gary Clarks caliber heaping the praise on him.
The other thing is how often is the guy people are heaping praise on playing against a reigning first team all conference player.
I get that in practice when you don't get to play games, you treat the games with a little more competitiveness... but he's often going against a four year player.
