RE: MTSU - 3, 2, 1
Once again I was watching Giddy Potts curl off of a screen to catch, shoot, and drain a 3 pointer. And once again I wondered what it's like to have a player who can do that. And once again I asked, "why don't we?".

I agree with you, but I believe Talley is a different situation. Yes, he is a sophomore, but this is his fourth year out of highschool. Age wise he is a senior. I just don't expect to see the same growth that you might see out of a true sophomore, because a big piece of that growth is about maturing physically. He is done with that. Caver, on the other hand, does show the growth curve you would expect from a freshman to sophomore and beyond. I think he is really growing into a very good player, but I think Talley is what he is, and i would not expect any giant leap from him.

Why do you think 21-22 year olds dont get better? Do you think Freeman is better this year than last? Do players in the NBa not improve or do they just improve bc of coaching? How old do you think guys are when they stop mature physically?

I don't think they stop getting better, but i don't think the make giant leaps like kids make from senior year of high school to freshman year of college, or freshman to sophomore when they are maturing rapidly both physically and mentally as well as learning how to play at a higher level for the first time. Guys that are 22 years old have already realized those massive early improvement and, for the most part are just honing pieces of their game.

Regarding the prediction, you were partially correct. Yes, I had a drink last night, but it was celebratory drink that I enjoyed greatly!
