A cathedral of glorious victory. A cathedral of imperial majesty. A cathedral of hopes and dreams. This truly is the work of Rhombus.

Not to get off point (triagles have 3), but Steve and Barry's is a great nickname for the new stadium haha

Guys -- I have run out of steam. The Prolate Speroid is permanently retired. The Rhombus and the Triangle can duke it out. Two days to go. See you Saturday. Go Monarchs!

The ODU crown logo is just an artistic interpretation of a crown. We all know that real crowns feature at least one Rhombus.

All shapes of straight sides such as the rhombus are just multiple triangles in disguise.

RE: The circular argument thread.
Must I continually remind all of you that the supreme shape is the Prolate Spheroid, also known as the PS (pronounced piss). As you may well recall from our earlier discussions, it is the PS that teams of men and boys of all ages (and sometimes women and girls - though their PSing is not nearly as spectacular as that of the men and boys) that go to combat on the field of battle known as the PSing gridiron solely to display their prowess at maintaining control of their PS in PSing matches.

Being unable to control their PS can result in great team embarrassment, while teams that do control their PS are exalted by their followers and are invited to distant lands to demonstrate their exellence before huge crowds of PSers (fans of PSing matchs). Because PSing matches are held in the fall, PSers can spend all summer holding thir PS and dreaming of the PSing matches that will be held in the stadium of their favorite PSing team as soon as the last days of August have been consumed.

So, hold on tightly all you PSers, as the time of the great PSing matches is fast approaching, when the PSers who lead the PSing crowd in chants will once again urge on all of us PSers in that well known PSing chant -- "PS on you!"

04-cheers Cheers, all you PSers.

Sorry, I disagree...we normally make it a good 50-70 posts before it devolves into:

ODU SUCKS FIRE JJ HIRE COACH K RECRUIT LEBRON! ODU ROCKS EVERYONE BE PATIENT WE'RE SWEET 16 NEXT YEAR FOR SURE!

I'm just suggesting we save the sanity for those of us who would prefer not to be subjected to the same argument by the same 6 guys. They can argue in one place until they are blue in the face and the rest of us can talk about whatever the thread is supposed to be about.

After all, isn't that what thread topics are created for?

Like it or not, posts about what's wrong with the program are valid and related to the game threads, especially after a home loss to FAU.

Since this thread has been going since 2017 why don't we Circle back to the topic at hand when a home loss to FAU was deemed a fire able offense and now they are fresh off a Final Four run.

Which is a perfect summation of how far this program has fallen/lagged behind our "peers"

Le sigh.

The rhombus punishes us for our lack of faith and devotion. 4 years since the last post on this thread, it's no wonder if our programs aren't competing at a higher level.

Sad but true. It seems like we're in a downward spiral and the only thing that will pull us out of it is a new AD with passion and vision, who can hire top coaches and get rid of under performing ones before they do long term damage. Never thought we'd see the day where we wished our men's basketball was as good as FAU's, women's basketball as good as Liberty's and our football as good as Coastal Carolina's, but here we are. Not to mention JMU whooping us in everything but tennis. Thanks Wood!
