RE: UC tops Xavier in Crosstown Shootout
Troy had an ugly slump earlier in the year that he has come out of, thank goodness. Evan followed him into the slump and he has also emerged out the other side.

Washington has also had his problems, and his free throw shooting last night is another one of these. If he can work his way through it before tournament time (and Cumberland uses this game as a springboard) this team can be really special.

Meanwhile, Gary Clark just consistently chugs along, continuing to "be a problem", as Santa Ono tweeted last night.

Mick on WLW being interviewed by Cunningham at noon today said last night was the best crowd he's ever seen in his 11 years.

Old Ono is stealing Jon Rothstein's Gary Clark is a problem tweet. He's been tweeting that for a couple years now.

The Evans 3 pointer at around the 3 minute mark was huge! It was great that UC made the shots down the stretch.

I found one more - don't tell Eggzavier fans 03-shhhh but I'm pretty sure Cumberland took 3-4 steps on the basket that gave UC the lead at 55-54. It's at the 10:55 mark of the game, 2:33 on the video.

I think you're just fooled by how fast he was moving towards the basket. When the dribbles are big and the strides are quick like that it can be deceiving. I've certainly seen officials get fooled like that before and whistle a travel but I don't think Jarron traveled in this instance.

What a game.

Rothstein gets sayings about certain people and repeats them constantly. It's why I quit following him despite being one of the most knowledgeable college basketball people around.

RE: UC tops Xavier in Crosstown Shootout
I can say in hindsight watching the highlights I felt we had a defender within arms length on every 3 point they shot cept one. And it seemed our offense generated some open 3s. I certainly didn't think we were playing slack 3 D as a couple articles have suggested we do.
