Ok, this should probably be in the politics forum, but one of these articles speaks directly to how the UA System is structured, and the other should be of concern to every Alabamian with half a brain. I think that it deserves a space in the higher traffic forum.
SACS is going after the idiotic structure of the UA System, and Bentley has his panties in a wad because SACS describes his role in it as a conflict of interest. UAB people certainly know about conflict of interest and abuse of power at the BOT level. SACS seems to have finally noticed it as well. I'd clip a paragraph or two, but you really have to read it.

Then there is what is going on at the State Attorney General's office. Luther Strange wants to be the replacement for Jeff Sessions, so he's covering Bentley and refusing to investigate his scandal while also trying to hold off the Lege's impeachment committee. That smells bad enough, but if Bentley gives Strange the Senate seat then he gets to appoint the next AG. It has been assumed that he'd find a friendly candidate to protect him, but I never even thought of this one.
He wants to put Cooper Shattuck in as the new AG. If Strange's actions smell bad, Shattuck is as odious as a fish left out in the sun for five days. a maggot infested, fetid pile of corruption. Shattuck created ACEGOV, the gov's dark money PAC, sometimes laughingly known as "the girlfriend fund". It is my hope that the grand jury will confirm legally my opinion that Shattuck is literally Gov. Dr. Dr. Bentley's partner in crime.

I think that it might be time to start pointing fingers, writing letters to the editor, and in general raising a big stink of our own, Blazer Faithful. Bring the heat, guys.
