Last year, Tacko was just a novelty act. This year, he's a pretty good college basketball player. Next year, he could be a force.

The scary thing for UCF opponents is Tacko continues to improve.

It could have been the UCF game at Tulane...where a player at least 1 ft shorter than Tacko "stole" the tap (before the ball reached its apex) and the ref allowed it.

I'm somewhat surprised others haven't tried that because at worst one would get called for a jump ball violation and UCF would get the ball out of bounds.

I seen ECU games where they could of kept the game closer with drives. Opponents are playing them for the 3. Maybe the new coach will point that out

I'm not sure how I feel about this. I'm a big fan of the tournament and always watch selection Sunday even when my team doesn't make the tourney. I also take the first two days off work so I can watch all 64 teams play. Having said that I don't know if this has any meaning. There will be lots of games played and lots of upsets before selection Sunday and the most interesting and fun part of the tourney is the underdogs selected. None of those teams will be part of this.

The only players on ECU that drive are the three freshmen (Hughes, Sheppard and Wilkins); the sophomore Barkley and the junior Tyson. Tyson is out hurt so he can't. Barkley has to play point guard these days, so he can not drive as much as he used to because he is too busy setting up the ECU 7 footers to miss point blank layups. And as soon as one of the freshmen take it into their heads to drive it to the rim I think that it is an automatic reflex of the ECU coaches to pull the freshmen out of the game. So there is the answer and yes ECU needs new coaches.

This will be interesting but I don't know if it changes anything. I mean the top 16 are pretty much locks to make it I would think unless the wheels come completely off the last 3 or 4 weeks of the season. Certainly as you get closer I would think it is less likely these teams don't make it.
