Everything between now and then is fluff.

That's what makes Tulsa insignificant....u think that Tulsa is cincy's main rival ... when in fact u are 4th or 5th.... but if that makes u think Tulsa basketball is relevan ... go at it....

No Tulsa fan truly believes UC is a rival, Panic loves a good stab. Tulsa has and will always be relevant with or without Bearskat games. UC has been very successful doning less with more over the past 15 years. 03-zzz

Sampson pulled the old "we are a few points away from being 16-3 instead of 13-6" today. This team has no wins to speak of, and this loss should make this man evaluate his life. Half of the Sampson family is on UH's payroll, his daughter is in charge of marketing or something, and this team after 3 years is no better off than it was when he got it.

Maybe I'm wrong and we are just banged up and we can bounce back, but i doubt it.

Good game, cheaters.

Intelligent.

I mean, you won't argue with it.

Houston cheats too

Very surprised to see Tulsa with such early success with so many new players. Good for the league to have Tulsa continue winning, and it keeps Panic from getting to low, which is good for everyone.

Agreed. Just don't tell some of my fellow Tulsa fans. They're convinced we suck and Haith is a terrible coach.

Their students didn't know... Cincinnati's student section is larger...at an arena 9.5 hours away 03-lmfao

Cinci's RallyCats Student Fan Club had a huge/successful bus road trip for this game...as there were probably 500 Cinci fans in a crowd of maybe 800 at this game. (Large alumni group of Cinci fans had most seats on the side court too).

Students had a great deal for just $118 a party bus road trip, hotel near Bourbon Street and a fun game.

Cinci fans made this game entertaining to watch on CBS Sports.

At my age I'm not sure I could do the bus ride, but that's incredibly cheap.

Helps when the game tickets are $2.

By the way - your coach needs medication. He did not look well tonight.

There is certainly a ton of evidence to suggest he isn't a good coach. He made 1 NCAA Tournament in 7 seasons at Miami-FL and was bailed out with a loaded roster at Missouri which gifted him 2 tourney appearances and the same situation at Tulsa.

There isn't a lot of evidence that he will successfully build his own program. Hope for the best for the Tulsa fans (all 100 of them)...07-coffee3

Yes, we have cheated in the past, sometimes blatantly, sometimes on the fine line of what you can do and you cannot do....

We do try though to be competitive....we just sometimes get caught.

I thought a line by the studio hosts after the game that was very true is that SMU may be down a game in the standings, but "I am not so sure that SMU is not the best team in league".

The bearcats are great, in fact, I think SMU and Cincy are both sweet 16 teams. My first reaction would be, that we are the two elite teams this year, with my cat friends having a slight upper hand with their 2 point win at home.

HOWEVER, I will not disrespect the fact that my Tulsa and UCF friends also have only one conference loss, so they have earned their spot in the conversation and belong there until it is settled on the court.

We shall see, my gut tells me Cincy and SMU are the two elites this year, both destined for at least the sweet sixteen....but Tulsa, UCF, and even, perhaps, Memphis could still make noise.

Will be fun.

/Cheers

The Tigers hold a 20-1 series record over UCF and have never lost to the Knights in Memphis. It will have absolutely no influence on the outcome today. Tradition joins attendance and academics on the extreme end of the lameness spectrum. Clever and creative smackers and trolls should take each out of their toolbox.

Thanks for the opportunity to exercise a simmering pet peeve. :)

Well said!

As I see it right now UC is 1a and SMU is 1b. Then there's the rest of us.

As for Tulsa, I'm not sure where we'll finish since the schedule is back-loaded. I could see us getting some upsets over top teams but I can also see us finishing behind Memphis and UH. We're slowly improving but idk if we'll improve enough to.hang with the big boys.
