Dukes must be playing 7-inning games in the DH today against NJIT.

Dukes win game 1 by scoring 3 in the btm of the 7th to take it 9-8 in dramatic fashion. Sisk with the walk-off double bringing in the tying and game winning runs.

5 straight wins for the Diamond Dukes and 7 of our last 8. 13-3 now on the season heading into Game 2 of the DH this afternoon.

Light rain in the area. Hope they can play through it.

Looks like Game 2 of the DH is going to a full 9 innings. Dukes down 9-5 in top 8th. Need a comeback.

A marathon day of baseball for the Dukes ends with a disappointing 11-5 loss in Game 2.

JMU drops to 13-4 on the season.

(thank goodness for the last inning comeback win in Game 1 today)

Diamond Dukes try to move to 14-4 on the season. Our RPI took a major hit with the loss last night.

Dukes up 2-0 and still batting in the btm of the 1st (with 4 hits so far).

Brett Johnson hits his 8th HR on the season. This time a 2-run shot to put the Diamond Dukes up 7-2 in the btm of the 5th.

Dukes win 14-2. Giving up that safety was a disappointment but Schor and the offense continues to roll.

Dukes now at 14-4.

Dukes head to Liberty Tuesday for a 3pm game that will be streamed live via ESPN-3.

Great season by baseball so far. This weekend they hosted NJIT whose starting shortstop played high school hoops for me in New York. Both my son and daughter went to games to see him and said our team looked great.

Games this week...

Tue, 3pm, at Liberty (streamed live via ESPN-3)... Flames are 11-7 on the season and currently #93 RPI. They just opened their conference schedule with a 2-1 series win over High Point in L'burg. They have a win over St. John's (RPI #5), a midweek win over Duke, and a midweek win over Kentucky (RPI #26).

Fri-Sun, 6/4/2pm, host Delaware to open CAA play... Sick Chickens are 1 of only 4 CAA teams (including JMU) who have a winning record on the season to date...they are 11-7 with a RPI of 212...they have won 9 of their last 10...UD opened the season 0-5 but have gone 11-2 since...this past weekend saw them sweep 3 games over Penn State at home

Getting 3 wins this week would be terrific.

The team has really struggled today. The score is not an indication of how much better Liberty has played today than the Diamond Dukes.
