Air balls...I counted 3 there may have been 4
Turnovers at crucial times
Missed little puppies under the basket
No one will step up and take charge on the floor
When we get behind we have no one who is a real threat from three
They did what others do and what every one else will do ...pack it inside and dare us to shoot 3's

We must have suffered now through 12 to 15 years of bad basketball!!!!!

Monty will be back next year but if they do not show improvement next year he will be gone...

Not sure I would call it bad basketball, but its certainly not basketball at a level capable of being a serious threat in a conference as deep as the MAC this season.

While it was a terrible showing Huskies are a 3-4 seed right know. They have to bounce back and not let this game fester as cause multiple losses!

OldtimeHuskies, fans say a lot of things but the Huskies were just down by 12 at half at Kent St and won

I am not sure that is a good way to look at it, NIU has played Miami twice and BG also. The schedule is killer the rest of the way. Right now I see NIU as an 8 seed type team

At this point in time and given how horrible we have been for many years now an 8th seed is not acceptable

Re examine our wins and give me how many are quality wins against quality teams. Ohio was without there main player tonight and an Ohio freshman stepped up and beat us

What an awful game. This style of basketball is just painful to watch. Why must every offensive possession be a grind? Hard to attract fans. Zero students there. Pathetic.

Toledo getting crushed by Kent St. NIU, EMU and Ohio are 4-2. Akron at 6-0 has a two game lead over NIU and two game plus head to head victorys over EMU and Ohio.

Get the fans hopes up a little bit then come home and play like garbage. The turnovers were the worst. So many unforced errors.

12 turnovers are acceptable and wasn't the reason the lost. NIU's problem is they don't have a guy who can get them 20 pts regularly. They depend on 4-5 double digit scorers which means several guys have to play decent every game.

Get used to more of that basketball because you obviously missed the thread in which dekalb222 informed us that his best buddy had his contract extended by his personal friend through 2020-21. That second undeserved extension was a result of the single worst schedule in Huskie men's basketball history. Of course, this year's schedule isn't much better.

I hope we get used to being able to lose a big game and still being at the top of the MAC West. Much work to do but not out of reach!

Only 2,167 for attendance? So much for a big crowd.

Attendance surprised me as "Ticketmaster" showed lower level all but Sold Out but I'd say was 2/3 full. So did 1/3 not show? Were they "marching" in Chicago? Was it too nice a day to show up?

And of course Students were all but non-existent except for a frat or two.

Pretty awful to see about a dozen guys at most comprising the student section, especially when you think about how noise and vibrant it once was. Last year there were more, but nobody was wearing anything that included NIU logos. The ones making most of the noise wear Cubs and Blackhawks shirts. Most high school student sections are larger and noisier than those of NIU. I realize NIU went through years of awful basketball, but now they're worth watching. Get it together, students.!

Yeah the student factor has dropped off and I don't understand why

I will continue to say that these Saturday games should be a 4:30 women's game and a 7pm men's game!
