New Pro Football League.
Looks like there will be a league competing with the NCAA. Call the PAC PRO out in Calf. 4 teams. 6 regular season and then 2 playoff rounds. 50 players per team. 18 to 21 years old. I could see some kids going this route. They will pay 50,000 per year.

No idea if this will succeed, but this has a far better plan than any other football league that pops up. If this does get traction I can see it really hurting recruiting for the PAC, and if it does succeed I can see other leagues of the same style popping up.

It still boggles my mind that someone has not found a formula to have a second tier football league be successful in a football hungry country.

I could see some kids that are 5* going this route. They get paid for 3 years and the scouts get to see them play. They don't have to worry about school.

I'd watch it. And I'd love to see what college football has become burn to the ground as all the top talent bails on the "playing school" part.

It hasn't really worked for the NBDL

Agree... I mean... minor league baseball has been popular in the small cities and will never die. But, football is probably a lot more expensive to get off the ground.

Would be a massive risk for any player - if you sign the contract and flame out, pretty sure the chances of passing the NCAA clearinghouse and getting a college scholarship are slim to none

I think it can becasue it is only going to be 200 kids to start out. Plus if they go the Juco route and then want to try this or set on a bench at a program for 2 years and want to try this I think they will get the kids.

No start up will ever be able to handle the medical claims. Will crumble under the weight of the workers comp system and law suits. This will live 2 years before self emmolation.

If there was no NFL started with a 50 year head start, it would never have worked.

200 players @ 50k = 10 million
8 full time Coach salaries(who have pro/college experience) = ?

Only Southern California teams playing during summer vacation at community colleges or D3 stadiums.

The 6 regular season games have no importance as they make the playoffs regardless. How many tickets can you realistically expect and at what price?

They may land a handful of troubled 4/5 star talent but it's not going to be an UnderArmour Elite game. Do they have a prerequisite for making a team? Combine before drafting or taking the next 200 callers? Only a certain ranking is allowed? Can a 5'4 bench warming WR take a shot?

"• Every player will play. While games will be competitive, with small rosters and brief seasons there will be snaps and opportunities for everyone, particularly in practice. No one is getting buried on a depth chart or losing a season of teaching while residing in a coach’s doghouse."

5 * recruit Flash Jackson will announce his decision at 4:00, down to Alabama or the Hollywood Stars.

50k for 2 months work ain't bad though. I think if this was feasible the NFL would have already created the structure.
