Wow, @ESPNLunardi has C-USA receiving an at-large tournament bid (MTSU), under a scenario where the Blue Raiders don't win league tournament

Multi-bids: ACC (10), BigTen (8), Big12 (6), BigEast (5), Pac-12 (4), SEC (4), A-10 (3), American (2), C-USA (2), WCC (2).

I'll believe it when I see it. I'd love for it to happen, it would be certainly good for the entire league.
Way too early to make that sort of call though.

MTSU is the only hope this league has of an at large. They probably need to go like 14-2 or 13-3 in conference to get it and can't have any WTF losses, especially at home. I certainly think they're capable of that.

No way, remember Murray State from 2015.

They have a few really solid wins, just nothing that stands out as a wow moment. It'd be interesting to see how they were treated if they went 16-2 and lost in the conference finals. That would put their rpi in the 30 range with and sos in the 125 range.(using rpi wizard data). One thing is certain though, the rpi will pretty much drop no matter what. They played the right kind of ooc schedule though to get the rpi in your favor. You don't have to play a bunch of top 50 teams, you just need to avoid the 200+. Their worst ooc games were 227, 226, and 204 in the current rpi.

RE: CUSA a multi-bid league?
It's possible but they'd have to go through C-USA play undefeated or at worst one loss. The loss would need to be on the road at Marshall who will be the highest rated team they play on the road this season. A home loss to any C-USA team would do them in. They'd need to reach the C-USA championship and lose too. As I type all this out I realize how unlikely it all sounds and it still wouldn't be guaranteed.

It's a long shot, but would be big for the league both financially and from a perception standpoint. Would also help when recruiting against P5 schools if they couldn't use the argument of "don't go play in a one bid conference."

I just hope we get on our game really soon. I don't know if I can stomach another team in blue from Tennessee dominating this conference.

I was gonna say they have a few solid wins, but then I remembered how Monmouth got screwed last year, so yeah, you're probably right.

I don't see the committee screwing another Monmouth type team. The backlash was pretty severe. That being said mtsu didn't put up Monmouth type wins.
