Maybe. I'm just a bit worn on those saying he's "not a D-I player".

To be clear, I never said "throw out the Butler game". I was saying that was mysteriously the only game gobearcats.com didn't have on file. But, they BOTH played like crap in that one anyway.
I will agree with you the issue is tired. Agree with dub and recluse - best option right now. Perhaps not by much, but he is.
Best option is correct as there is no other option. Playing Cumberland over KJ would be subtraction by a large margin.

RE: Cumberland
Thought Cumberland's game tonight warranted a thread bump. It's great to see these bench contributions in conference play.
The unexpected part of this is, he took Evans' minutes tonight, not KJ's. But, I'm overjoyed with 34 between the combination of KJ and JC

If UC gets that kind of production from the 2 guard position they are going to be a top 10-15 caliber team. The key is getting it against good teams away from home. Glad to see both KJ and Cumberland playing well.

Troy was pretty good tonight too. Just one rim-out from being 3/4 from beyond. As soon as he gets it going, all the better for those two (and Evans as well).

Everybody gets healthy against Tulane. They are the Cleveland Browns of the NCAA.

Last 5 for Cumberland:
11.2 PPG, 3.8 RPG, 1.8 APG, .576 FG%, in only 19.2 minutes/ game.
In the same stretch
Justin Jenifer
7 PPG, .8 RPG, 4.4 APG, .519 FG% , in 18 MPG
Great to see our future 1-2 play well.

They're definitely a big part of the future 1-2, but Cane Broome enters the picture next year. Despite losing two seniors, I feel just fine about our prospects in the backcourt moving forward.

I think Mick's gonna look for every chance to rest Evans in these games vs the bottom of the conference. I feel like he recognizes that riding Jacob at the end of the year gives us our best shot at making a deep run.

I like having Cumberland coming off the bench. He provides a different look that some teams have trouble defending, and he can shoot.

Lets see what he does the next two games, he seems to disappear against good competition.

He's played in like 4 games against good competition. And he made some of the biggest plays in the game in their win at Temple.

He had 16 min total against Butler and Iowa St, not sure he's got much of a chance against good competition. Rhode Island was the 3rd game of his career.
