Finally home from the game. Might be my new favorite game in my short history of Tech fandom. When I realized that we were going to chew the clock and kick it, I about lost my mind lol.

Observations (after driving 8-10 hours today and not having slept yet): Navy's fans whine too much. Started booing every 5 seconds near the end, sometimes I didn't even know what for. Even Ken Niumatololo (however you spell it) allegedly said there were "bad calls" by the refs. After they didn't even review the potential Navy fumble and after that roughing the passer/targeting call (I need to see the replay, tho), I don't wanna hear it.

Navy's players were pushing and shoving ours all game, basically coaxing us into the unsportsmanlike call that came later.

Fun facts: Had some soldiers sitting behind us. I didn't pay too much attention to them, but there was one from Louisiana who was cheering us on. The others I'm not sure were that interested.

Also heard from a random guy afterwards that he had come to the game as a neutral fan, but was leaving as a Tech fan.

Fort Worth traffic isn't near as bad as Dallas traffic, and for that I am grateful.

This is the second Armed Forces Bowl I've attended, and I don't have many complaints about the event they put on.

Skip Holtz pisses me off sometimes (see: @ MTSU), but I have to give him credit for one thing. He has now more than doubled the number of FBS bowl wins we have.


Glad ODU got the W, now we just need North Texas and Middle Tennessee to wrap things up! Let's go, C-USA!

Gotta say, was pretty surprised at how fast we got out of there, good flow for traffic. Nothing too backed up. Overall this bowl was really well arranged.

Congrats on a great win, Dawgs. Now its time for the Mut(t)s to make it a twin win for the K-9s.
