Riley Ferguson* set a new single season TD mark of 32 this season. Despite not throwing TDs in three game. Ole Miss,Temple and Cincinnati.

almost 1/3 of his 10 INTs came in OM game where he was given no protection from his line.

One can only dream of what next season will look like with a year of experience in the offense and hopefully a better offensive line.

The team has just about every offensive skill player back next year.

Riley has a good arm...But he needs to hit the weight room and quit sliding short of first downs.

Missed single season yardage record by 78 yards. 3776-3698. Damn that UC game cost him another record.

7th in CAREER yardage after just one season. 2072 yards away from being number 3 CAREER yardage in just 2 years.

If his progress parallels Paxton's he should be a true badass next year.

He's good and all, but I see many instances where I am thinking "what are you thinking?" He scrambles toward the sideline on a pass play, and when he decides he has no option, he just jogs out of bounds with no regard for where the markers are. Am I near the first down marker? Am I 10 yards behind the line of scrimmage? IDK.... I'm just gonna jog out of bounds.

Is anyone pointing out these errors to him in the film room? I hope so.

Furguson is definitely a good QB for us. Defense is the real issue.

Maybe he's been told to avoid taking a hard hit. Losing him to injury would probably be worse than having to punt in most cases.

That may be what is occurring but damn get the first down before you slide...If he is that fragile he needs to get in the gym during the offseason and put on 20 lbs.

I tend to agree with you, but I've tried to figure it out over the season and can't think of anything else. Also, why do they run that play where he hands off and fakes the run, yet never let Ferguson keep the ball? Not much of a fake out when you know he's always going to hand off.

The part I bolded in my original post above (within this post) is what I am talking about. He will step out of bounds 5 yards BEHIND the line of scrimmage instead of having the presence of mind to throw it away and save the yardage. He's a Junior for pete's sake.

How many times did he do that this year? Once? Maybe twice?

He slid a bunch, ran out of bounds a bunch and just took dives without regard for where he was on the field. It wasn't always on the 3rd down (Only remember a few in that situation).

But if he is already a big strong kid (6'4 210) it is a either a mental thing or he is being instructed to slide.

I guess I missed all of those slides and I didn't miss a home game and watched every road game. Saw a couple of slides and that's about it.

I saw a couple of duck out of bounds and slides, but never anything that really cost us. And never enough for me to think it was a problem. And I saw plenty of throw aways. Riley is really good and will be better next year. Least of our worries.

Yeah. I mean, he did set all sorts of records and will be remembered as one of the greatest QBs in Tiger history, but those 5 bad decisions he made this year clearly shows that he actually doesn't know what he's doing. And don't get me started with Anthony Miller - I mean, I saw him drop 2 passes this year. Absolutely needs to be benched.

You guys are unbelievable.
