Obviously we were not motivated because we were playing an inferior team from an inferior conference.

Am I doing it right?

yup...this is correct. When the season started you had hopes of NY6 and when you ended up playing a crap G4 team from the MAAC instead it was a major letdown. Plus you know this was the biggest day in the lives of those little Ark St players. A superbowl of sorts for them.

Nice work SublimeKnight.

Arkansas State is in the Sunbelt, not the MAC. You lose credibility when you make a glaring mistake like that. Learn of what you speak of.

Your problem is that nobody still cares, and yes I did know that Arkansas St. is in the Sunbelt.

The AAC continues to reload with higher quality coaches across the board than the G4. teh belt's highest paid coach would be the 2nd to lowest paid coach in the AAC. 10 of the AAC's schools were vetted for Big 12 expansion compared to 0 of teh belt's. That isn't all just a coincidence.

Completely disregarding wins over OU and Louisville is silly. Those are the types of games/wins that actually matter, draw ratings, get people talking, and have spawned the P6 debate. How many G4 conference champs have beat our 6th and 7th best teams in meaningless bowl games is irrelevant. You can have your win over 6-7 UCF, and the AAC will continue to win games and BCS/NY6 bowls over OU, Louisville, Florida State, Baylor, Penn State, Ole' Miss, Notre Dame, Miami, Va. Tech, etc.

I see, so when you lose to the other G5 conference team in a bowl it's "well, the game was meaningless and our players don't care" but apparently that doesn't apply to FSU playing Houston in a bowl or UCF playing Baylor in a bowl.

Here's all you need to know about the AAC...it's in a NCAA voting bloc with the Sun Belt, Mountain West, CUSA, and MAC. Not the power conferences. You aren't in the exclusive club.

And the thing about perception...it's really fickle. You can't live off of 1 season forever. The AAC's only power 5 win outside of what Tom Herman got was Syracuse. Regression to the mean.

look at the Recruiting classes the AAC brings in comparison

Bowl games are about motivation and circumstance. Houston' best WR didn't even play bc he was out in Vegas the night before. USF last year looked very sluggish vs Western Kentucky in Miami...get the picture

Players sometimes don't take these Bowl games as serious as the fans

Sure look at the NFL draft. CUSA had 11 players drafted last year while the AAC had 10 players. Tech and WKU had just as many players drafted as Houston. Not much if any difference in talent level between AAC, MWC and CUSA

Active players in the NFL among G5, Boise is tops and Tech is #5, as you can see the AAC is not dominant among G5 producing NFL players either.

1. Boise St (18)
2. Cincinnati (15)
2. UConn (15)
2. UCF (15)
5. La Tech (14)

Houston (9)
