LOL!!! Wrong.

In the 3 years of the Final 4 Playoff...11 of the 12 playoff spots were given to P5 Conf Champs.

Clemson NEEDED to win their Championship Game to get in.

Washington NEEDED to win their Championship Game to get in.

In most cases (not all), winning the conf championship puts you in position to get a Playoff Bid...but this year, 3 out of 4 went to conf champ winners.

He's right though... Those fans are upset and so are their ADs...

and it's still unfair that OSU gets a bye

What would have happened if Clemson and Washington didn't win? Take a look at where Michigan was sitting before the final poll. They were number 5. Michigan didn't play for their conference title either.

And?

Each year is different...heck, I was laughing at one ESPN talking head last night who was trying to compare the 1st year of the Playoff Committee decisions with this years...as that person was clueless that the committee members CHANGE and half of the committee members today weren't around 3 years ago when this thing started.

OSU going the playoffs even with one less loss but also one less game just devalues the conference championship. Why bother.

Agree. It's total BS. Penn State beat Ohio St head to head and won the division and the conference. How does OSU get in and PSU doesn't?? Don't give me the two losses crap. They won the toughest league in the country this year.

The committee proved its nothing more than a beauty contest like it has always been in college football. The powers that be wanted urban Meyer in the playoff and they made it happen.

On the field results don't matter as much as historical powers getting in for tv eyeballs. What a complete joke.

Penn State's only chance to overtake Ohio State was to win big in the Big Ten Championship game. If Penn State hadn't gone to that game, they would have had ZERO chance to make the playoffs.

Why?

Because no two loss team made it, especially won that lost to Pitt and had their doors blown off by Michigan (lost by 39).
