I remember watching that game. I had bought into the Houston hype and wanted them to win to mess up the big boys plans. But USM just skulldrug Houston that day. Their defense never could stop USM.

Announcer kept talking about how much money the league lost that day. Made me wonder if CCGs were worth it. We were in the Belt and it didn't have one.

I watched most of the game. Can't say I paid any particular attention to the knuckleheads in the booth, but I'm well aware of what kind of crap passes for sports journalism these days.

Wont ever forget that day.
My youngest was a freshman at Southern Miss and was working with the training staff.
ESPN got a good close up on him with his manure eatin grin as he mixed up the gatorade cooler to be dumped on LFed. Then about 45 mins after the game ended my phone buzzed and this was on it

^Lol

You'd be singing a different tune had you beat us. After all, LT could've very well...came down to a 50 yard fg for us in the rain and you guys had like a 3 TD lead at home vs Keenum and Co. and let them come back and win.

Wasn't that the year y'all were too good for a bowl?

True, that would have made us #6, I suppose. Fine line.

It really must be heartbreaking to see a team you beat ......

leave you at the door, with your nose pressed up to the glass.

It was almost "heartbreaking" not seeing a bah humbug post from good ol' "WKUYG in Cincinnati" 03-lmfao

Again...some of you folks in west kaintuck have no sense of history....nor do you want anyone else to talk about their accomplishments..

I guarantee when your corch is gone and you go back to, say, 6-6 seasons, you will also remember your superb accomplishments from 2015-16 and let everyone know about it...

As you should..04-cheers

It's very possible Western could do just as S. Miss did this year when we get our new coach. Hell could be worse.

But shoot me if I ever go whining about the good ole years. Just look at where Western's basketball program is today. Look where it was in past years.

I'm looking forward to repeating those years. Not reliving them. But if I do...shoot me
