Exactly. Ranked teams are supposed to do this to unranked teams. But we have shown signs of being good in both games.

Yep. There have been glimpses. I think changing the starting five around a bit may help. I never had any expectation we would compete in this game, but it is a great game to show our guys where they are at and how far they have to go.

We are keeping with them very well other than the 3s

It has been this way for 3 years now

We were 62nd in 3 point defense in 2014 and 88th in 3 point defense in 2015.

We are 267th before this game. This game will drop us down to around 280-300th.

Welp

We can get abused in tha post too. We dont have much height or size in the paint and we dont rebound well. Even though teams like to run and shoot and play through their guards we make a change to the defense Cokley,Mehinti, and Lee would foul out and thats the strength of this team.

We mite need to change starters. I would move some guys to the bench something Haase didnt do.

what a frustrating game. you could glimpses of hope, but lackluster effort and game plan in the first half seemed to kill us.

this game more than any other so far i think would have REALLY benefitted us to have nick at point.

As stated before, St. Mary's is favored in all their games this season but one - at Gonzaga.

Yeah, they're a really good team and honestly we played pretty well other than allowing so many 3s.

akpb - 10 (W)
furman - 15 (L)
troy - 7 (W)
kansas - 12 (L)
gw - 8 (W)
sm - 13 (L)

Here is a good sign. We had something like 5 turnovers in the first 5 minutes. We had 8 for the game. So three turnovers for around 35 minutes

Lots of turnovers. Just disguised as bad shots. If your going to drive the bball, go hard and don't be afraid to get fouled.

This game was a great opportunity to beat a ranked team and gain a little attention. Not saying this should have been an easy win, but it was certainly winnable. Very discouraging game.
