No worries...let's talk about the hoops games here.
I think FSU has too many athletes today and win by 15

RE: 11-24-16 Men's BB
one hell of a hoops day today.....
got the NIT with Temple/FSU in 1 game, Illinois/WVU in other game
Got Advocare in Kissimmee with Iowa St/Ind St, Stanford/Miami, Gonzaga/Quinnipiac, Seton Hall/Florida.
Got Battle 4 Atlantis SF with Baylor/Mich St, Wichita St/Louisville
Got Wooden Legacy with Texas A&M/CS Northridge, New Mexico/Va Tech, Dayton/Nebraska, and Portland/UCLA
Got in Vegas Butler/Vandy, Santa Clara/Arizona
even the ones that aren't good, if the games go as scheduled sets up great games for tomorrow.

It'll help Temple come March...FSU should be hanging around the Top 25
Shockers playing tough...but it looks like Louisville will pull it out.

Baylor vs UofL tomorrow. This shapes up to be a helluva game. Baylor exposed Mich St and UofL held off a very good Wichita St.
It really will be a battle in Atlantis.
I think Wichita St beats Mich St tomorrow.

If Michigan St loses tomorrow, they'll go 7-5 OOC. Say they go 10-8 B1G and 1-1 BTT, they're 18-14. Squarely on the bubble.

They would go 8-5 OOC and would be 19-14. With 4 of the 5 losses vs top 10 teams. Their SOS would be way good enough to get in the tourney.

RE: 11-24-16 Men's BB
Unless Big Ten hoops this season is much better than expected, or MSU has a really "off" year, they're not going to lose 8 conference games.
But if they did somehow finish 10-8 or worse in conference, it would really help to have beaten at least one non-conference opponent who doesn't suck. Wichita State and Duke are their last two chances in that regard.

RE: 11-24-16 Men's BB
got some good games tomorrow for sure...
NIT you get WVU/Temple in the title game. don't think many saw that...
in Advocare at Disney- you have Iowa St/Miami in one SF, Florida/Gonzaga in the other. Not too shabby
in Las Vegas you have Butler/Arizona in the title game. Butler playing to get in the top 25.
Battle 4 Atlantis you have Baylor/Louisville in the title game. One hell of a game.
Wooden Legacy you get Va Tech/Texas A&M in on SF, UCLA/Nebraska in the other. UCLA should get a good title game opp.

RE: 11-24-16 Men's BB
Temple is going to be a very up and down team this year (and already are judging by losses to New Hampshire and Umass). They are playing two true freshman and two true sophmores that played little last year in a 7 person rotation. They are all talented though. They do have a very good junior in Obi Enechionyia. However, they are waiting on senior point guard josh brown to return from a torn achillees suffered earlier this year. He has been working at practice but has not been cleared yet. The assumption is he will play at some point. Separately, the best freshman from last year, Trey Lowe, was involved in a very serious car accident at the end of last year and is redshirting this year.
If Brown comes back like last year, Temple will do ok as all of dunphy teams get better as the season moves on. However, the tournament could be a stretch this year.
Most Temple fans are looking to the future with the young talent currently playing and dunphy just signing a 4 person recruiting class that is his best by far. Hopefully, one of these teams can make an actual run in the tournament at some point.
As far as today, temple should be a big underdog if you consider temple lost to New Hampshire and West Virginia beat New Hampshire by 59 points.

Temple holds on to pull out the victory over West Virginia 81-77 and win the N.I.T. I really have no idea what to expect from this team going forward.

like someone said, they're a better version of what Georgetown has been. Extremely high highs but low lows.

It was shocking to see Baylor come back like that after the Cards dominated them in the first half. I switched to the game with just over 5 minutes left in the first half and Louisville was up 28-7. Baylor managed to score only 7 points in 15 minutes. Crazy

Pitino had the wrong guys on the court the last few minutes

I was thinking in the first half about how SU would deal with that defense after seeing the Cards hold Baylor to 7 points in 15 minutes. SU always struggles with Louisville's defense and SU has to play Louisville twice this season.

Baylor will be top 10 in the next poll, maybe top 5. They are 6-0 with wins over Oregon, VCU, Michigan State and Louisville.
