Well blowing out 2 of the next three is not a long shot...other than Tech Western has just about destroyed this conference for two years now...

avg winning by 25ppg since the start of 2015. The sad (for everyone else) it could have easily been 35+ points since Western has played most 2nd half's just to run out the clock

Tech has been in the same boat this season

I don't have the time to do the research but I would bet that is top 3...if not #1 for CUSA. Especially over two seasons

Dream/Best Case scenario:

La Tech and WKU win out, go into like 3OT in the title game. Both play P5 opponents in bowls (HOD and I-Bowl?) and win convincingly. Enough chaos happens above that they both somehow slip into the final AP rankings.

Realistically, we'd be lucky if 1 of them got ranked, but we can always dream, right?

The MAC and Belt have ranked teams. We gotta get better as a league and win our OOC games. We certainly crapped the bed on that this year. ugh!

Our OOC was underwhelming as well. We win that Vandy game 99/100 going into that last minute and a half. Missed tackles, bogus PI calls, and just same bad luck really cost us that game right at the end (in addition to miscues all through the game prior). I know we are a better team than them. On the bright side, Miami (OH) has turned their season around and has a good chance to go bowling.

That didn't last long. After taking down Appy, Troy loses at home 35-3 to Ark State. Ark State dominated the Sunbelt as usual.

It remains a mystery how stAte can fail miserably in non-conference (they lost to an FCS school this year) but even the best Sun Belt teams don't stand a chance...
