If they want to succeed, they need to find a Ross Perot and unite with the true Tea Party people (who are the equivalent of the Ross Perot voters).

No sir. Not gonna let you or anyone else run amok like that.

Im sorry but that is blatantly false. Libertarians believe in the principle of non aggression. They believe in personal freedom..but...They fully support laws that address theft, fraud, violence and destruction of property. In fact? Many support more severe penalties than we currently have for breaking that principle. I expect a large portion of Americans on both sides have very similar ideals.

Whether the voters want to acknowledge it or not, it will catch up with us sooner or later.

From the times I've seen him on camera he's come off as so party kool aid drinking that he's detached from reality. He sings about the death of the party system like Gary Johnson just won or something.

That's his job, I suppose.

Freedom for Trump, not for you. Trump makes excellent decisions, so just sit back and let him make them for you. It will make your life so much easier if you don't fight it. 07-coffee3

LP is as niche as it gets. The reason it hasn't gained traction is simple: very few people think that way.

You don't have numbers. You never will get numbers.

Disband. Focus your energy elsewhere.

Actually, most people have a Libertarian bent. More people than are far left wing or right wing. The LP just cannot translate that into political power due to the political system's inherent biases, duopoly control, and the fact that their leadership is primarily loons.

Yeah that's the reason.01-wingedeagle

It has nothing to do with when people do research about the libertarian party and find themselves agreeing with the platform then the libertarian party going so far out in left field that the rest of the platform is marginalized.

For example: "I believe in the Second Amendment. I also believe that all drugs should be decriminalized."

Our how they claim they will have a strong military but insist on dramatically slashing the budget.

Have you ever stopped to think that the main reason why you aren't connecting with the voters isn't so much the duopoly and more to do with the fact that significant portions of the libertarian platform simply doesn't resonate with the average American?
