I imagine the design phase will take a while. I have seen some take as long as a year. This is a massive project and the stadium is not the biggest or most complicated component. What will be crazy is how they will blow out the bottom of the BJCC with all that precast. It will look like a completely different facility. The stadium is not that difficult. been there done that.

Are they expanding capacity of the arena? Also, are the planning on doing everything in the Populus plan all at once or in phases over multiple years?

No they are not expanding capacity last I heard but it will look totally different in the concourse. It will be HUGE.

Everything at once but in phases but that will be worked out in the design phase. I hope I get it....... ;-)

Not familiar with NBA arena reqs/standards but would updated BJCC allow us to court a team in the near future?

Would the same concourse modifications being considered for the Legacy Arena be possible for Bartow Arena at some future point? I would like to see concessions moved to the outer concourse wall and the inner wall removed so that a fan can do both -- buy food / drink and watch the game instead of having to choose to exclusively do one or the other. Legion Field has that same problem.

Never mind the multi-billionaire owner that would be needed to pay for a team.

No that all will be worked out later. They will put together a workable sequence after many meetings with the BJCC. It has to be carefully planned. That's why I don't want folks to panic. These things take time. I do it all the time. If I see something that looks out of place I'll let you know.
