Sounds like a sense of entitlement, which a lotta folks on here are always against.04-cheers

Folks who gradumicate from USM are always asked to give money, volunteer, buy tickets, buy suites, speak only positive Southern Miss and (most importantly) worship and venerate our leaders, with the only benefit being "successful" sports teams.

I want me some access...

"Totally agree with you Bap. I know just like most of you guys would have enjoyed a visit to the new facilities they built but they only opened it up to eagle club members and season ticket holders"

So this guy (who was a former extra point snapper), doesn't contribute back to the program through EC or season tickets, wants to complain because he wasn't sent an invitation to come tour the facilities?

I get the general idea here that players should be involved and allowed certain access (to an extent) but you can't make all the guys who ever suited up happy.

Almond even commented that all he ended up with was a subpar job, probably not the brightest comment to post on social media.

Courington and Mitch Craft talking about banging sorority girls and doing blow, exactly who we need around our program.

Courington is whining about not being recognized on senior day after he tore his knee up. What he fails to mention is that he got arrested a few weeks prior. He was dismissed from the program after that. Most of the guys on there were flame outs or thugs that the program probably wants nothing to do with anyway.

On this particular point, I would like to know if anyone bothered to ask.

EC & season ticket holders were invited to a specific event for EC & season ticket holders. That former players weren't also invited to be part of that event is no reason to be upset. If a former player asked to see the place and was told he couldn't, then, yeah, he should be offended, but to not be invited to a function for a group of which you are not part is to be expected.

There's a Lettermen's Day every football season now that includes games tickets and a meal. Did anybody go to that and ask, "Hey, can we see the renovations?" and get refused? If so, I'm totally on the players' side on this. If not...well, there's a difference between not being welcome and not being sent an gold-embossed invitation and a limo.

Along your same point Harbor.....

A few years back at the 100 year celebration they had a big event one Friday night at the top of the Rock for any and all former players who wanted to come. They served us food and beer. Lfed gave a rah rah speech. Then we got a tour of the stadium. All of the new end zone, the suites on the east side, and the field house weight and locker room, etc. They took a picture of everyone in the stands. It was a really cool event.

Side note, I met Ray Guy for the first time that night. Dude stood there drinking beer with me and acted like we'd known each other our whole lives.
