Go For The Players
The Memphis game is the last home game for a great group of seniors who have worked their tails off and represented UC with class. I know everyone is frustrated and downright angry, but the team, and especially the seniors deserve our support at their final game in Nippert. Go see Bond, Kiel, Green, Wilson, Edwards, etall and give them the thanks and respect they deserve.

NO! The truth of the matter is that since Bohn hasn't publicly lambasted and fired Tubs twenty minutes ago, that means Bohn actually loves Tubs and he's staying forever! Therefore it totally makes sense to pull whatever financial support we are giving to the University athletics department. The players don't need us and since UC won't need any money to entice a new coach, let's all just bail to prove a point!

This all sounds great and all but let's be honest. Every senior day when they announce the players names and they walk out to meet their parents on the field there's about 3200 people in the stands who opted to close up the tailgate early to catch the ceremony. That goes for me as well. I go to every senior day but I swear I've seen about 30 seconds of the ceremony in 25 years of doing this.

You are wrong....it's the university of Cincinnati .....not the university of tubs or Bohn....want to play with the big boys....we need fan support...I am sure the big donors are expressing their feelings to the University...and tubbs actions yesterday and the sloppy play will come back to take care of tubbs

Ok, but the players deserve for the fans to at least show up and cheer for them during their last home game.

You make great points. However, this is such an awful situation and the players have to understand. While I can't speak for our players, if I were in their shoes I wouldn't blame fans one bit for not showing up. As a player I wouldn't direct my anger and disappointment at the fans, I'd direct my anger and disappointment where it belongs: the coaches.
I'd blame the coaches for setting myself and my teammates up for failure and for driving the fans away. As a player, I would know that the fans have my back. They would care just as much as I would (or more) about the present and future of UC. Why should they pay money to spend 3 hours watching garbage football? Simply put: they shouldn't. And nobody in their right mind should blame them.

RE: Go For The Players
I'm not going. I have something else I can do that I'd normally skip to go to the football game but I realized I'd have less fun at the game. I like senior day but it's a small ceremony before the game and honestly there's no Bearcat legends in this group that I feel that I have to see one more time.

It was supposed to be sarcastic. Just poking some fun at posts I've seen around here.
You know, it can be hard sometimes, for me, being the only sarcasm-banner carrier 'round here. (this sentence was very sarcastic as well. As there is only one smart enough to carry a "banner" here.)

I saw where Tion apologized to Bearcat nation on twitter. What does he have to apologize for? These guys are playing hard. They can only run the plays the crappy OC calls.

Tion doesnt have to apologize for anything. None of the players do. He's apologizing because he's a leader in a time where leadership is sorely lacking from the hc and ad. It's a sad state of affairs when the salaried employees of the school need to take a page from the scholarship athletes but that probably speaks to the commitment of the respective parties.

if you make the ceremony in time, there is plenty of time to walk back to your car and tailgate for a few hours.. you will still see the same number of touchdowns for our Bearcats..
Also almost 1/4 of section 106 on the 50 are available to buy through ticket brokers currently.. if you are trying to judge the enthusiasm for this game

I am always in my seats early enough to see the skydivers float in and the band charge the field, so no problem getting there in time for Senior Day stuff.

RE: Go For The Players
This has been a hard year for all of us.... We thought that the b12 was going to happen... We,, also,, thought that this years football was going to be good,, improved defense,, experienced running backs,, and one of the QB's would get hot... Nothing has worked out... I believe our bad luck will change, if we hang in there as fans... This is not Jerry Jones or Mike Brown's Sports Business,,, it is more than that,, it is our university...
