Fact is beyond WKU, LT and maybe MT none of are very good. But if you're judging ODU based on the WKU game then you're not getting the full picture. We're better than that. If we played WKU 10 times this year they might win all 10 because both their lines are better and it's hard to win games when you lose in the trenches. But we wouldn't get embarrassed like that every time.
So you're saying we shouldn't judge you based on your result against WKU, and yet you're judging us based on our one loss in the last 5 weeks to UTEP, despite our wins right alongside that game over USM, UNT, and MTSU.
I'm also not one trying to hype anyone up, and thought I was pretty clear that I was comparing the seasons as a whole, not one game here or there. Anyone on RowdyTalk can tell you I'm definitely not a homer, and I felt I was pretty fair in my assessment.
Btw, what you see as "streaky", I see as a team that started the year slow under a new regime and tons of new faces in the starting lineup, and has since found itself. It's easy to dismiss that if you haven't watched this team every week, but unlike ODU, we've had a fairly challenging schedule in the last 5 weeks, and I'm just saying that with WKU being your only opponent over .500 in that time, it's gonna be interesting to see how the USM game goes.
Regarding our game in Ruston, I'm not sure we have the firepower to keep up with La Tech's offense, and am very worried about that game, but let's not write off what we've done in the last 5 weeks because one of those games was 5-OT loss. Texas A&M just lost to previously 3-5 Mississippi State also. **** happens sometimes in conference games, and credit to the other side when they win one they perhaps weren't supposed to.
