No one cares about a one hit wonder winner. Everyone hates a repeated winner. That is what makes New England and Alabama the most hated teams. Because year in and year out they win and are almost in the Championship game. You start putting these seasons back to back to back then you might get some true hate.

We only have five trophies from 06' to 10' with the words inscribed "Sun Belt Conference Champions". We know all about true hate. I was on this board for most of those.

That's true. Congrats. I was mainly talking about from 2011 til now. When Troy finished with a 3-9, 5-7, 6-6, 3-9, 4-8 records. You can't just assume you are hated because you have finally started winning again for one season. That was my point. If you somehow get back to being conference champs like you did in the mid 2000s then you will be hated. Recent success is what everyone cares about. No one hates ULM for winning the National Championship back in 1987 on this board. Your back to being relevant. Enjoy it.

It's easy to hate somebody who vanishes for four years and then shows back up waving press clippings.

Your left tackle putting people in a headlock every play and getting away with it doesn't help either.
