If not, the cupboard will be fully stocked next year to dominate again and there's a ton of great young coaching talent that would be drooling to take the WMU job. Chris Klieman is one right off the top of my head. The culture has been established and I trust Kathy to make the best hire to keep the boat rowing in the right direction for years to come.

Just gotta enjoy the here and now! 04-cheers

IF PJ departs the logical person to take over as HC is Kirk Ciarrocca

Time for all Bronco fans to enjoy the boat ride even if you are not rowing yourself.

Certainly he'd be a short list type of guy, he could possibly follow PJ too though, I don't know him well enough to have a clue though.

I could well see the OC and DC, along with a few other coaches, staying with PJ when he moves up.

I hope we keep ciarrocca. He is great. We will be losing Terrel, and Davis, both of whom are significant losses. We also lose some on OL, don't we? Tough losses for sure.

RE: BC Enquirer - Fleck addresses speculation
Ciarocca was OC/QB coach at Delaware during a stretch that included a national championship and coached Flacco's brother, Joe, there. If Tom Flacco stays put when Fleck leaves, he could help keep convince Ciarocca around to be HC. I like the idea of promoting from within when Fleck does eventually move on and I'm firmly opposed to hiring an outside HC that has affiliations or ties to Michigan or Michigan State.

Fleck belongs to the coaching trees of Jim Tressel and Greg Schiano. I like the idea of finding new assistants from those trees when he does leave.

RE: BC Enquirer - Fleck addresses speculation
This is perhaps the most telling - and encouraging - line I've ever read about this whole situation:

Quote:Fleck is always changing his best -- yes, that's another saying around his program -- and that applies to his bucket list, too. Beside the line "Become a head coach at a major BCS program," there is a check mark, along with an addendum in pencil declaring that WMU is becoming major.

From the great ESPN piece about PJ and WMU today.
