She'd take him to Memphis State Basketball games at the Coliseum.

Are you honest enough to answer a question truthfully?

Take the Tigers out of that game and make it Bugtussle CC and ACME A&M,

Could you honestly say it was a great game?

I lived in Birmingham when he was a regular sports guy for the paper. The Alabama people were sure he favored Auburn and the Auburn people were sure he favored Alabama. Of course, they all read his column religiously hoping today would be the day their rival got trashed. It was the sports journalism version of studio wrasslin'.

Did he grow up near Rhodes? Thought that's what I heard him say one day when someone from Memphis called in a long time ago.

It ended up a great game. A game is made up of two halves, not one.

It looked that way due to two long TD runs and kick return. But the two halves were very similar to each other. Could have and most likely should have had pick 6 in first half. Offense really did not do a lot outside of those two runs in second half.

COGS Those two runs were 14 points. That is what counts isn't it?
Good offense. Without those two runs we lose.

Still doesn't refute that it was a great game. You can cherry pick all you want about if certain plays don't happen that the two halves are similar. But unfortunately for your argument, they did happen. Not only were there two long runs for TDs and a kickoff return for a TD but there was also an interception returned for a TD. There was the key interception to preserve the win. Down 13-0, Memphis score 27 straight points. 24 of them in the second half. The offense, defense, and special team contributed in the second half for the victory. You can point to the offensive stats all you want but the only stats that matters is the final score. The second half was in no way similar to the first, no matter how you want to spin it.

That game was pretty brutal - especially the first half. Don't like Paul, but I can't say I blame him much...
