A caller to the Paul Finebaum show on Friday said he watched the Temple-Memphis game. Paul replied with "My condolences!" The caller continued to tell him what a great game it was. Paul said nothing else about it. Now I understand Paul is about everything SEC and Power 5, but it's sad for him to bash the local university from his HOMETOWN.

He probably did more than anyone last year to raise the university's football profile by talking up the "worst case scenario", as he put it, that Old Mississippi would run the table and let Memphis into the playoff. As a result, most pundits don't even remember that we finished fifth in our own conference last year.

Actually prior to last year's Ole Miss game, Finebaum & McFarland were giving their predictions of the SEC games (their weekly routine). When they got to the Ole Miss-Memphis game, they both laughed & said Ole Miss would "crush Memphis". "Forget the points, Ole Miss will win by 30 or more" - and we won going away. This year, Finebaum wouldn't even review the game or provide a prediction, again laughing about our chances. He's an arrogant jerk. But he knows where his paycheck comes from & sucks up big time to anything SEC.

That first half was pretty bad.

He got beat up a lot a White Station.

It's his "shtick." Always has been. He only cares about the powerhouse SEC programs and laughs at the rest.
