Many MAC teams put a better product on the field than the attendance numbers would suggest and that is the strength of the MAC.

You can't really compare the two. Saying Toledo has to compete with Michigan and Ohio state isn't true either, at least not at the same level of what EMU has to deal with. EMU is literally 6 miles away from Michigan, It's completely different from what Toledo has to compete with.

No, it's more similar than you understand. Ann Arbor is not far for UM fans to drive. Not at all. While it may be true that OSU is a 3 hour drive, the TV is only 3 steps from the recliner and the Toledoans with the red & gray t-shirts love to sit on their ass. For the ones who actually do go to the horseshoe, it is an easy 3 hour drive to Columbus.

The tailgating scene here in Ypsilanti is bringing a smile to my face. Thousands of fans here and lots of us are not sober...
