Some things never change.

This is ole miss' greatest tradition. Wrecking memphis' upwardly mobile kids for 100 years.

Lol

Cheers

Just admit one of those drunks stole your ex

It's ok bro

Therapy

Do you think Craig might need therapy? Oh my!

I don't think Craig was ever a glorified water boy

Shelby State? #iamachristian

And to be frank, FedEx (and I suppose the Bank of Bartlett for Memphis) have been the key driving corporate forces behind both football programs for the last decade.

Glenn's ranch is not far from Oxford, too. He's well loved there.

His son graduated from law school there.

One of his sons.

I call your law school grad and raise you a name on a jersey.

We were his safety school, Ole Miss was his first choice.

You're wrong there. Virginny was #1, Miami #2, and we were #3.

Not a school with admission standards comparable to a SWAC school with illusions of being the "Harvard of the South," and gaudily acts like it's Harvard.

I guess the Smith family isn't "truly" rich then. You learn something new every day around here.

I think it is clear who in this thread gets what I am saying and who doesn't.

The buthurt is very strong with some of you.

Please tell me you're not referring to cannon when you say it's good enough for the smith family.

I've taught classes on the ole miss campus. It's a decent school but in no way is it the Harvard of the south. I have a friend who uses his ole miss masters degree to break his weed up on.

I've spent a lot of time in Oxford over the years. The artists and musicians there are good people, many of whom I consider very good friends. What the people in this thread are referring to is the undeserved superiority that a lot of ole miss folks have - especially the younger ones.

I'm not talking about the education, I'm talking about the experience. I'm talking about being the son of a billionaire and being BMOC at a school that "redshirts Miss Americas".

The kid was busted in Collierville with a trunk full of ecstasy his Sr. year in high school, you think he picked his school based on the quality of the education he would receive?

I think the point is there are lots of better options no matter what your priorities are. Alabama & Florida both have more "Miss Americas" than Old Miss. Georgia, Auburn, Kentucky, Florida State, Miami, Texas - the list keeps going. Heck, we've literally had a Miss America at Memphis since Old Miss had their last one 30 years ago.

It was a nod to Mike Glenn. Also Fred Smith has quite a few kids and happens to be generous to educational institutions. UofM, Ole Miss, UNC, Yale. But above all of them he loves the Corps.
