71.4% would be excellent even for a strictly short passing game consisting of only dinks and dunks and safety valve type passes but Woodside's game includes a large number of deep throws down field which makes that statistic phenomenal

RE: Logan freaking Woodside
So Woodside is 1 TD pass away from tying the single-season record set by our man Bruce Gradkowski. What do you guys think of Bruce's record being broken?

Hope he breaks every positive record Bruce owns by a huge margin and I hope whoever follows Woodside breaks all of HIS records. How could any fan feel any differently?

Exactly my thoughts.

Exactly- can't ever remember us having so many 40 yard+ plays through the air. Thompson's speed and hands and Woodside's arm have really opened up our 0.

RE: Logan freaking Woodside
I think the whole run/pass game is the brain screw for us as fans. With three top RB's returning this year we all thought we just needed a robot at QB to hand off to any one of our stable of backs and we'd get 400 yds a game on the ground.

Fast forward to the season, our run game is behind where we thought it would be, but we're pleasantly suprised we dusted off a stud QB and we are slinging the ball all over the place.

Some have said our line isn't as strong in our run blocking schemes and we know teams are stacking the box. I'm just a fan, so I don't know all the things that go into the finer details of run blocking, but how can we be excellent at pass protection, but we can't pull like past teams to open up truck sized holes for our backs? Other posters have said we aren't doing the schemes that worked for us a few yrs ago when Hunt was running wild.

RE: Logan freaking Woodside
Woodside in the UT Record Book through 10/27

Career:
TDs: 51, 4th UT history (31st MAC history)
Yards: 5218, 10th
Completions: 390, 10th
300 yard games: 8, 2nd (MAC doesn't seem to track this)

Season:
TDs: 31, 1st (11th MAC)
Yards: 2715 (2016) 6th
2263 (2014) 12th
Completion %: .625 (2014) 9th
TDs Responsible for: 31, 3rd

He's also on pace in 2016 for rankings in completion %, TD %, Fewest INT %, and QB rating, but those
numbers could go up or down the rest of the season

Game:
Yards: 505 vs. BYU, 1st (7th MAC)
438 vs. Ohio, 4th
Completions: 32 vs. Ohio, 7th
Total Offense: 500 vs. BYU, 1st (14th MAC)
452 vs. Ohio, 4th

Play:
Longest Completion: 98 to J. Johnson vs. Ohio, 1st (2nd MAC)
89 to J. Johnson vs. Maine, 4th
89 to K. Wilcher vs EMU (2014), 4th

One small asterisk on the season TD record. In 2011, Owens and Dantin combined for 33 TD passes (18 TO, 15 AD), so Woodside still trails that by 2. Actual Page threw one that year as well. so 34 total that season. Woodside + Julian have combined for 32 so far.

Remember we're playing more games, so it's easier to break records. Nothing against Logan.

If Ealey had played in a spread offense he would have had video game numbers. But he didn't. Woodside will be one of the two or three best ever, IMO.

True. But Woodside has only played 25 games - barely 2 full seasons and he has already passed many players who played more games.

Agree completely, on both points. Ealey was ahead of his time.

Which is why he's not in the college Hall of Shame, uh, Fame. 03-banghead
